A Christmas flower if ever there was one, besides the poinsettia. They can start to bloom in early December and keep on blooming until after Christmas. They’re beautiful flowers…..

An abundance of flowers

Just a pleasant reminder of summer. Such lovely colors. The weather here is actually quite mild for December, so no complaints on this end. We had some snow but then it got milder and rained, and it all melted. Going to see the Nutcracker tonight, that’s always fun and a nice way to get into the Christmas season. How are things there? Miss you.

Interesting flowers at the NYBG

Took a lot of shots of flowers and plants at the New York Botanical Garden when I was there in August—these are just a few of them. Enjoy!

Another photo taken at the New York Botanical Garden. Am slowly going through all my pics. I bought a set of filters from Amazon recently–4 close-up diopters at +1,+2, +4 and +10, and a CPL filter, a UV filter, and a FLD filter–a great buy–Neewer filters. The diopters are cool; I tried the +10 and it seems to work fine, so it will be interesting to see what kinds of close-up shots I will be able to take.

Visited the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx today with Jean and Maria. What a great place! So beautiful and so big. I used to go there when I lived in the Bronx so many years ago, but I forgot how big it was. We spent about four hours there and got a chance to see most of the garden. Took a lot of photos, and here is one of them.
