Autumn comes to Oslo

In keeping with my last post, some photos from a lovely autumn day (yesterday) here in Oslo–the sun was shining, the sky was blue–a perfect day to be out walking with my camera. I was particularly happy about capturing the rainbow created by the Akerselva river spray. A lot of people taking photos of that wondrous occurrence. Not often you see a rainbow created from water droplets dancing in the air! A living rainbow.

The colors of autumn

View from our windows facing out onto the yard. The trees have changed color and the colors are lovely this year. Hope all is well. Busy here. Let’s try to talk soon.

Autumn colors

A crisp autumn is what it’s shaping up to be–gorgeous colors and a bit chilly, but the sun in shining and that’s enough for me. Out for a long bike ride up along the river today—love it. Nothing quite like biking in the outdoors.

Autumn is here

Autumn has arrived, rather abruptly if you ask me. Not much of a summer and not much of an Indian summer. It’s already quite chilly during the day and at night. But this photo was taken a week ago on one of our walks up along the Akerselva river. The trees have started to turn color, and a lot of leaves have fallen off the trees in the meantime. How is it in upstate NY?
