It snowed a lot here yesterday, so I was up early this morning to take a walk along the Akerselva river (my second favorite river after the Hudson). Very few people were out, the temperature was perfect, and the sky was blue. Got a lot of shots and even a few short videos of the mallards swimming and enjoying themselves.

looks nice. snowed here too, about 5-6″. it’s cold outside, less than 20 degrees. supposed to get warmer, but feels like it could snow again. the water is not frozen, or does the river ever freeze?
The river is frozen in areas where the current isn’t strong. Around here is not far from the waterfalls, so there is less ice. I loved the mild temperatures today, but it’s supposed to get much colder this coming week. Good thing I bought new warm boots on Friday–both for the snow and the cold. The ones I had were falling apart–heel hanging off almost.
